Florida House Bill 943and Florida Senate bill 1248 is going to change the alimony laws in the State of Florida. If you are interested in alimony reform you need to follow these bills as they work their way through the Florida legislature. Alimony reform failed the last time it was brought to the Governor for his signature due to the retroactive nature of the statute. The new statute does not include a retroactive look back at prior divorce agreement. However the current bill seems to make it much easier to modify alimony.
